Digital photogrammetric measuring system (offline):
Digital photogrammetry uses the methods of image processing to determine 3D-coordinates of the measurement points. With this method, points relevant to geometry are indicated with measuring marks or measurement adapters and from as many different directions as possible take with a camera (handheld)/ Neither the measuring object or the measuring point have to be stable. The images can be made from a crane, elevator etc. In the same way, the measured object can be located on a forklift, hanging on a crane etc. The photos are transferred to a laptop using a PCMCIA card, where the software then determines all 3-coordinates and the target standard deviations for the measuring points. The photo assessment and data analysis occurs – depending on the number of pictures take - - normally within minutes, directly on site Particularly in tight, hard to access areas, the free-position handheld camera offers the greatest flexibility without stable vantage points. The major advantages of the equipment (laptop + camera) can be brought along on an airplane as hand baggage. The high precision of this measurement system is unparalleled (up to 1/100 mm or 1:200.00 of the lens object size, which corresponds to a precision of 0.05 mm!).
