Lasertracker/T-Probe
Lasertracker with T-Probe (online):

Like with the tachymeter, this is a polar measuring system. Calculation therefore occurs based on horizontal/vertical angles and distances with each of the point coordinates online. The difference to the tachymeter is mainly in the handling, the considerably higher precision and the ability of the laser tracker to do 3000 measurements/second. With the latest generation measuring equipment which we acquired in December 2005, (Leica-laser tracker with T-Cam and T-Probe measurement probe on top), it is possible to measure still hidden points with a “tactile“ method with the highest precision. In combination with the metrology software Metrolog XG, we can do measurements - even compared to the CAD data set - in a radial measurement range of max. 40 m (also to a max. object size of 80 m with a laser-tracker attachment). Last but not least, for this reason the system is used in aviation and space travel and in the automobile industry to measures or align devices of all types using the CAD data. The measuring system described above is currently considered the most precise and fastest for large measurement amounts (measurement uncertainty of a coordinate: 10µm+5µm/m).
